Fees

Fees may be paid online or by cash or check

Please pay firing fees and materials costs when you pick supplies or pieces! Make checks out to Clay Club and place cash and checks in a labeled envelope inside the mailboxes in the studio hand-building or kiln room. Please contact the current Treasurer, Kathleen Weiss, for any questions.

Joining Fee.

The one-time joining fee establishes membership.  As of 2023, fees are as follows:

  • $150 for an individual;

  • $50 per additional family member (with children 15 and older supervised by parents as needed); and

  • $75 for Post-Docs and current high school and college students.

Session Fees.

Session fees are due on the first day of the month that begins the trimester; members who are active during a session have studio access and a shelf.  Fees are assessed for each member who will be active in the session; family discount applies only to the joining fee.

  • Spring (Jan – April): $125

  • Fall (Sept – Dec):  $125

  • Summer (May – Aug):  $50
*Access limited to nights and weekends during June and July due to Art Camp.

The studio is unavailable during some classes - check the calendar for accessibility.

Session fees can be prorated if a member joins after the trimester has begun.  Refunds will not be given except at the discretion of studio manangement.

Purchasing Clay.

Clay must be purchased from the Clay Club in 25 pound increments.  Currently we use two cone 5 clay bodies: Laguna B-mix (or whatever light clay is available) and one darker clay on a rotating basis (i.e., ChoCoLate or speckled buff). Outside clays are not permitted in the studio without permission.

  • $15 for 25 lbs

  • $7 for recycled clay (a mix of whatever clay bodies are recovered from the studio slop buckets)

Firing Fees.

$1 per pound, weighed after glaze firing.
